Refurbishment & Extension - Belsize Park, London
This project involved the radical re-arrangement of a four storey Victorian villa in North London. We entirely removed the existing interior in order to allow greater freedom in reconfiguring the space. Open plan levels were created on three of the four floors. A dramatic, cantilevered staircase weaves through the house from top to bottom, enhancing the open and contemporary arrangement. The double height lower ground floor functions as the main entertaining space, with open views up through the house and out to the garden. A glazed extension was added to seamlessly extend the living area whilst providing a terrace at upper ground floor level.
